While the owner is away
Sitter needs a rescue dog
Taking care of those in need
Such a gracious act !
Fulfilling and a good deed
Abandoned souls attract
Comfort in the gratefulness
True connection goes deep
Helplessness, voicelessness
Dependency tastes sweet…
Sniff, sniff, she’s a sitter !
You wag at me your tail
Lady’s lonely and bitter!
You barked and I played
I rub you on the belly
So you happily run along
Relationship’s unhealthy
Only giving – my wrong
I die waiting to get fed
Starve me on purpose
I play the sitter instead
Pet-fool at your service!
